Jim's Jots - August
Jim's Jots - August 2009
Extra! Extra! Read all about it!
Effective in early August, I will become associated with Premier Estate Properties as their buyer’s agent.
As those who know me will appreciate, this is a big move. I have been on my own as an exclusive buyer’s agent since 1988. I have been one of the fortunate few. Thanks to those of you reading this, and to a host of others who have supported our concept of business, we have flourished. I have enjoyed every day of this!
So why move? If you could know how I’ve agonized over that question…
Several reasons, actually. For the past 18 years, I have had the benefit of having had two fabulous agent-assistants. Claude, and then Cheryl handled the office and spelled me when I was away or unavailable. It was seamless and easy. Cheryl left about 5 months ago to pursue a new internet-based real estate opportunity. I worked alone, which I have found out that I can do. I simply don’t like it. And, at 63, I do not want to search for, hire, and train someone to fill Claude and Cheryl’s role.
To me, they are irreplaceable.
So what to do?…
It took months to find a comfort level, but I will wind up where I knew from the first day that I belong. Premier Estate Properties has never associated a buyer’s agent and I have never worked for a brokerage firm. There were questions to answer that no one had ever asked. In time we got there.
There are also reasons to rejoice. Premier Estate Properties’ owners are fabulous and talented. The staff is a small and highly-skilled group, with individual reputations as lofty as that of the firm’s.
I will be working with Kay Brown and Jeanine Harris, who have been friends and colleagues for many, many years. There is no one in our business I like or respect more. In fact, Kay, and Jeanine preceding me, was a great incentive for me to join the Premier team.
I consider myself fortunate to have been invited to join this very successful team of professionals.
Once again, I want to thank you for these 20+ years of support. I also want to reassure you that thanks to the support of my new employers, my commitment to representing buyers will remain the same.
My contact information will remain the same:
Office – 772-713-9898
Cell - 772-713-9898
Email - jim@dimarzo.com
I will have a new email address as well, but the above information will continue to work.
Family News –
I am very happy to report that there is none. We’re all well and happy and enjoying the pace of the summer. More about our gang next month.
Where have we been? –
Well, there was the fight with AOL…
Our web host was hit by a 400,000 piece spam attack. Unfortunately, every time we tried to send a JOTS, we got black listed as a spammer went on a quarantine list. No mail at all for days!
Best wishes to you all,
Jim

Great news Jim. You are probably too young to retire and God knows you will drive Barbara crazy. We are on ack till the end of October. Very busy with family and guests. Need some prayers - our new grandchild (Jacks son Kevins) may have serious sight issues if any sight at all. She is at Children's in Boston and under good care but we just don't know yet. 2 1/2 months old ANNIE COHANE
Hope Mom is still plugging away. Jeanne Mc would have been 86 on Aug 1st.
Love to B

All the best in your change…..Know you will continue to do well. Enjoy your monthly Jots. We still need a one level place but need to recover from a recent spinal cord stimulator implant first.
Best to Barbara.
